BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A missing boy has been found safe by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office’s aviation unit.

“Our helicopter pilot and tactical flight officer spotted the child in a heavily wooded area and (were) able to direct our search and rescue teams on the ground to his location,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “Thank you to everyone who shared the post and were partnering with us to help find this child.”
The boy will be taken to a hospital to be checked out as a precaution.
The search for the boy happened near Burgess Avenue in the Sharpes area.
Several Brevard County law enforcement officers and deputies searched a large area for the missing child.
