20-year-old riding motorcycle killed in Osceola County crash, FHP says

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A 20-year-old motorcycle driver was killed in a two-car crash in Osceola County Wednesday evening, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

It happened around 7:40 p.m. at Buena Ventura Boulevard and Osceola Parkway. A van was heading eastbound after exiting the Town and Country shopping mall parking lot off Buena Ventura Boulevard. The man on the motorcycle was heading northbound on Buena Ventura Boulevard.

The driver of the van, a 58-year-old man, traveled into the path of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle hit the right side of the van, FHP said.

The motorcyclist, who was from Orlando, later died at the hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, FHP said.

The crash remains under investigation.
