2 women die after being ejected from SUV on I-4 near Disney exit, troopers say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Two women were killed in a crash on Interstate 4 overnight near the Walt Disney World exit, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Just before 11 p.m. Monday, troopers said two vehicles were traveling westbound on I-4 near mile marker 62.

A sedan was in the center lane and an SUV was in the right lane.

For an unknown reason, the sedan moved towards the right, and the right side of the car struck the left, rear of the SUV.

The SUV then overturned, ejecting two passengers, who were identified as a 54-year-old Riverview woman and a 59-year-old Wimauma woman.

One woman died at the scene and the other died at Celebration Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
