2 rockets prepare to lift off from Cape Canaveral this week

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — The Space Coast will be busy over the next few days.

Two launches are planned at Cape Canaveral.

SpaceX will prepare to launch its Falcon 9 rocket first.

The launch is set to happen at 5:04 p.m. Wednesday. The company plans to launch a satellite for TV and data services in the United States.

Just over 24 hours later, United Launch Alliance plans to launch two national security satellites for the U.S. Space Force on an Atlas V rocket.

The launch is set for Thursday. The launch window will be open from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Channel 9 will show both launches on-air and online when they happen.
