OCOEE, Fla. — Two Ocoee High School teachers are accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the same student.
The teachers have been pulled from the classroom, but Orange County Public School officials won’t say if the move is connected to the relationship allegations.
On Tuesday, the Department of Children and Families confirmed two men who work at the school were under criminal investigation.
The men are accused of having sexual relations with a 17-year-old student.
DCF said Ocoee police is handling the investigation.
But after more than 24 hour of Channel 9 report Field Sutton trying to get answers from police, a sergeant said Wednesday afternoon he could neither confirm nor deny the department’s involvement into teachers at Ocoee High School.
Parents began calling Channel 9 with questions after getting a vague robocall from the school saying, “You may see media reports related to two employees who are involved in an investigation by law enforcement.”
A school district spokesperson said, “Anytime there is an allegation of something inappropriate with a student, the employee is removed immediately to begin an investigation.”
That’s an investigation separate from the one Ocoee police won’t talk about.
No one will confirm the names of the teachers under investigation.
