ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported a surge in COVID-19 deaths on Thursday with 120 deaths in 24 hours bringing the statewide death toll to more than 4,000.
The state also reported another 8,935 cases of the virus.

The new deaths include 25 in Central Florida with six deaths in both Orange and Brevard counties, five in both Volusia and Polk counties and one each in Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties.
