Police release video of fatal shooting in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police have released a video showing three assailants opening fire during a fatal weekend shooting on the streets of downtown Orlando.

Investigators said the video captured the gunfire that killed Keveon Smith, 22, and injured two others early Saturday.

Police said the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. near Orange Avenue between East Livingston and West Robinson streets.

In the video, a group of people is seen huddled together behind Club LIT when a man comes from behind and attacks one of the victims, police said.

They said the video shows Smith running away as three suspects open fire on him.

"He was everything that a father and mother would be proud of," Jack Smith Jr., Keveon Smith's father, told Channel 9 after his death. "He wasn't the type of kid to run in the street and get in trouble."

Investigators also released a picture of a suspect vehicle, a black Volkswagen Passat.
