Lightning struck a crane Wednesday morning at a construction site near the Swan and Dolphin resort on Walt Disney World’s property.

The crane was briefly on fire around 11:30 a.m.

“Lightning can strike over 10 miles away from the base of a thunderstorm, many accidents have occurred well before a storm moves over or even when the storm is well away from the area,” explains digital certified meteorologist Irene Sans. “When thunder roars, go indoors. There is no other rule that works when there is lightning around.”

There weren’t believed to be any injuries.
