LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — An inmate at the Lake Correctional Institution in Clermont died Friday after a “use of force” incident that happened Thursday, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.
The inmate and the officers involved have not been identified.
A Department of Corrections spokesperson said the officers have been placed on administrative leave while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates what happened.
More information will be released after the investigation is finished.
