Florida police officer rescues lost, injured monkey

ST. PETERSBERG, Fla. — Over the weekend, a Florida police officer rescued a lost and injured monkey.

The St. Petersburg Police Department posted Sunday on Facebook that an officer had rescued a little monkey who appeared to have had a run-in with a dog.

Police said the monkey was scared when the officer encountered him.

Officers said the monkey was turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
