Florida emergency management director blames federal government for COVID-19 vaccine rollout delays

On Friday, Florida’s state emergency management director laid out how many doses of the vaccine the state has received so far.

The first week, Jared Moscowitz said the state received about 179,000 doses; the second week, 500,000 doses; and the third week, 280,000 doses.

In weeks four and five, which were last week and this week, the state received 250,000 doses.

He is now blaming the federal government for what people have been calling a slow rollout of the vaccine.

He said there are too few places to go, and too few shots to give out.

He said promises were not kept when it came to the supply of vaccine. He also said the state only gets an idea of how many doses we will get six days ahead of time, which makes it difficult to plan.
