ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Nearly a week out from all the Halloween parties including a mass gathering downtown, we’re seeing some of the highest numbers of daily case totals we’ve had in month.
Though numbers aren’t as high as this summer, the peak, they’re certainly inching their way up.
On Thursday, the state Department of Health recorded more than 6,200 new coronavirus cases in Florida. On Friday, we added 5,200 more.
We haven’t seen numbers that high since Sept. 1. Since then, we’ve seen anywhere from 700 to about 3,000 new cases a day.
