NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — A $54,000 reward is available for tips leading to the capture of a man accused of shooting and killing a North Florida deputy.
Investigators are searching for Patrick McDowell, who is accused of killing Nassau County Deputy Joshua Moyers.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Blue Alert for McDowell on Sunday. The alert is used as a request for assistance from the public following the disappearance, assault, or death of a law enforcement officer.

Moyers was shot twice during a traffic stop Friday and died from his injuries Sunday, according to the Nassau County Sheriff.
