VERO BEACH, Fla. — A Florida woman, incensed because a man refused to have sex with her, cut his face with a kitchen knife Thursday, TCPalm reported.
Katherine Nieves-Tavarez, 27, of Vero Beach, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to a police report.

The man was hospitalized after rejecting Nieves-Tavarez's requests for sex several times, TCPalm reported.
Police responded to Nieves-Tavarez's apartment at 3:30 a.m. Thursday. The man was standing in the doorway with his face covered in blood and told police that "She hit me with a knife. … I can't see," TCPalm reported.
The man had several cuts on his face and was treated at a local hospital, the arrest affidavit stated.
Nieves-Tavarez was booked at the Indian River County Jail and bail was set at $15,000, TCPalm reported.
