ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health has released the first of what will be a daily report on COVID-19 vaccinations in the state.
The reports will include a breakdown of who’s received the vaccine by county, age, race, and sex.

According to the first report released Saturday afternoon, the vast majority of first and/or completed doses of the vaccine have been administered in South Florida in Broward and Dade Counties, where more than 15,000 people combined have been vaccinated so far.

Orange County leads Central Florida and is fourth in the state overall in the number of residents vaccinated with more than 3,200. No other Central Florida county has had more than 500 people vaccinated.
On Wednesday, Governor Ron DeSantis released a list of 173 hospitals in Florida that will be receiving doses of the vaccine. It includes several Adventhealth and Orlando Health locations.

Other hospitals on the list include Parrish Medical Center in Brevard County, Osceola Regional Medical Center, and several Halifax Health Medical Center locations in Volusia County.
The Daytona Beach campus of AdventHealth is also getting the vaccine and plans to begin distributing it to staff and workers starting Monday.
