New Report: Best Interior and Exterior House Paints

With home improvement season underway, many Americans are looking to spruce up where they live. One of the best ways to do that is by adding a fresh coat of paint to your home.

The recently released J.D. Power 2020 Paint Satisfaction Study shows the house paints and paint retailers that make customers the happiest — and Sherwin-Williams gets high marks across several categories.

Customers Love These Interior and Exterior Paints for 2020

The J.D. Power survey was conducted in January 2020 and taken from the responses of 5,631 customers who bought and used interior and exterior paint, as well as exterior stain over, the last year. The rankings are based on a 1,000-point scale, with the higher numbers the better.

The study was released in tandem with a J.D. Power pulse survey, which showed that 44% of respondents indicated that they had painted not long ago and were planning to do so again in the next 90 days.

"Home improvement do-it-yourselfers are increasingly looking to websites to help them find the best paint products to deliver on their vision, then looking to retailers for guidance to ensure success," she says in a news release.
