ORLANDO, Fla. — Contractors for the City of Orlando will start work Tuesday on vital infrastructure work along East Livingston Street, West of Mills Avenue.
The work will require a temporary road closure as the city repairs the brick paving on the street in an effort to make the roadway easier to navigate.

Residents should also prepare for closures at Catchcart Avenue and East Livingston street where the Orlando Utilities Commission will be replacing or repairing old water mains.
A pipe installed in 1887 burst last year near downtown Orlando, flooding North Orange Avenue.

Just a few months before that incident, a single pipe on Summerlin Avenue burst twice.
During the road work, OUC will work to repair or replace these old water pipes to avoid future problems.
