ORLANDO, Fla. — Another Central Florida man is facing federal charges for his alleged role in the January 6 Capitol riots.
Kenneth Troy Harrelson, 40, was ordered by a judge Thursday afternoon to remain detained in federal custody pending a detention hearing to be held Monday.

Harrelson is charged with conspiracy to obstruct a congressional proceeding as well as aiding and abetting the destruction of federal property, which is considered an act of terrorism.

He’s also charged with aiding and abetting the obstruction of a federal proceeding and entering restricted grounds.
In all, Harrelson faces a potential sentence of up to 36 years in prison.

According to court documents, the government is seeking detention, but they weren’t prepared to hold the detention meeting Thursday.
Because of that delay, few other details are available on what exactly Harrelson is accused of doing at the Capitol to warrant the charges.
