MOUNT CARMEL, Fla. — A weak earthquake was reported Thursday morning near the Florida-Alabama line.
The U.S. Geological Survey said a magnitude 3.8 quake happened shortly after 10 a.m. north of Mount Carmel, Florida.

The location is a mostly forested area southwest of Brewton, Alabama.
The agency said the quake had a depth of about 2½ miles.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
