FDLE issues AMBER Alert for 2 children out of Broward County (FDLE)

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida AMBER Alert for two children from Deerfield Beach has been cancelled.

The Broward County Sheriff’s office made the announcement just after 3 p.m. that 5-year-old Zaynah and 6-year-old Zain Obidy had been found safe and in good condition.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s office, the investigation began when deputies responded to a home off of Crystal Lake Drive in Deerfield Beach Friday night for for an emergency assistance call.

When deputies arrived at the home they found an woman suffering from multiple injuries.

During the investigation deputies discovered that two children were also missing.

At the time detectives believed Max Carias-Carrilo took 5-year-old Zaynah and 6-year-old Zain from the home.

Authorities issued an AMBER alert for the children and Carias-Carrilo just after 8 a.m.

Then just after 3 p.m. Saturday the Broward County Sheriffs office said both Zaynah and Zain Obidy had been located by deputies and were safe

Investigators did not say how or where the children had been located.

Deputies are still searching for Max Carias-Carrilo, and ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact investigators.
