FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A College Park, Georgia, woman is heartbroken after someone broke in and stole her puppy.

Homeowner Brianna Wright says she's devastated after someone took her teacup Yorkie, Peso.

It happened between the night of Nov. 9 and the next morning in a College Park apartment complex.

Wright says the burglars used some sort of tool to pop the lock.

Since then, management put a ring around the lock to help stop anyone from getting in.

“They took his treats, they just took everything,” Wright said. “They left us with nothing.

Wright paid a breeder $1000 for the teacup Yorkie who is just 5 months old.

Wright's handed out flyers looking for him and filed a police report. But so far, she's had no luck.

“He was really fun, he was always like friendly, loving,” Wright said. “Every time I was stressed out he would come and lay with me.”

The Meadow View apartments in Riverdale have no surveillance cameras.

Management did not want to go on camera, but said they are in the process of getting cameras and they have several security officers patrolling.

The week Peso was taken the gate was broken.

Management says they fixed the gate as soon as they could.

“The gate was broke, so I feel like anybody could have roamed in with their car during those hours that we were gone,” Wright said.

The burglars also took a flat screen TV off a wall and other electronics, but Wright says she just wants her dog back.

“I feel as though I couldn't protect him. I don't know where he's at, who he's with,” Wright said. “I don't know what's going on with him."

Wright is now offering a $500 reward to get little Peso back.

She's also joined an animal-rescue group in honor of Peso.
