ORLANDO, Fla. — Thousands of cats were promoted this week from pets to coworkers as their owners transition to working remotely to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Are the cats happy about it? The jury is still meowt.
But there is fur-midable joy to be found under the trending topic #quarantinecats on Twitter. Some cats are basking in the additional attention, while others are ready to fire their humans and send them back to the office.

Channel 9 reporter Cierra Putman shared photos of her four-legged coworker lazing around on the job.
While reporter Megan Cruz shared a photo of the reality of working from home when you have both a cat and a dog vying for your attention.
And while cats may be making it big trending on Twitter, the consensus is that dogs are the real winners of the increased humans-at-home time.
Channel 9 reporter Christopher Heath joked that his dog, Lando, had been promoted to unpaid intern.
