9 things to do this weekend: Car show, 2 Christmas parades & more

ORLANDO, Fla. — Looking for something to do this weekend?

Here’s a list of nine things happening in Central Florida.

1. Central Florida International Auto Show

The Central Florida International Auto Show is driving into the Orange County Convention Center this weekend.

The car show will feature hundreds of new models, electric vehicles, exotic vehicles, an off-road indoor test track, test drives and more.

2. Immersive Van Gogh Orlando

The Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit is now open at the Orange County Convention Center.

The exhibit is bringing the impressionist painter’s work to life through Jan. 9.

3. OUC Orlando Half Marathon

Runners will be participating in the OUC Orlando Half Marathon this weekend.

The race winds through downtown Orlando and finishes at Lake Eola.

There will be more than 3,000 runners in the race.

4. Daytona Beach Shores Christmas parade

The Daytona Beach Shores Christmas parade is happening this weekend.

The annual parade will feature a performance by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, the traditional tree lighting and food trucks.

5. 69th annual Winter Park Christmas parade

The city of Winter Park will also host its Christmas parade this weekend.

The parade will run through Park Avenue and West New England Avenue at 9 a.m. Saturday.

6. Holiday movie at Lake Eola Park: Elf

A holiday movie will be playing in downtown Orlando this weekend.

The movie “Elf” will be played at Lake Eola at 7 p.m.

7. Bank of America “Museums on Us Weekend

If you are a Bank of America and Merrill and Private Bank credit and debit cardholder, you can get into the Orlando Science Center for free this weekend.

All visitors are required to reserve their tickets online in advance.

8. North Shore Birding Festival 2021

The North Shore Birding Festival is taking flight this weekend.

The festival will be held at Lake Apopka. Visitors will learn more from expert birding guides.

9. Pop Warner Super Bowl

The Pop Warner Super Bowl is coming to Camping World Stadium this weekend.

The game consists of 72 teams from eight Pop Warner Regions playing in three age and weight classifications as well as three age-based classifications. There are also two playing divisions in the age-based classification, Division I and Division II.
