Florida reports more than 7,000 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, 59 virus-related deaths

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported 7,363 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

To date, there have been a total of 992,660 cases reported in the state.

Health officials reported an additional 59 deaths linked to the virus. Eight of those were in Central Florida.

As of Sunday, the state’s death toll stands at 18,736, according to the most recent data.
