Disney World confirms no standby line, virtual queue only for new Tron Lightcycle rollercoaster

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Disney World has announced more details about what guests can expect when the new Tron Lightcycle rollercoaster at Magic Kingdom opens this spring.

Disney said the ride will use a virtual queue, similar to other popular attractions across Disney parks like Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guests with a valid ticket or pass will be able to join the virtual queue using the My Disney Experience app.

Disney said there will not be a standby queue for the ride.

Disney will also have lockers for guests to store items.

The ride is set to open on April 4.
