"It's 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain," Duane "Dog" Chapman tweeted Wednesday morning. "Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side."

Beth Chapman had been battling Stage 2 throat cancer for years, first revealing her diagnosis in 2017 in the A&E special, "Dog & Beth: Fight of their Lives." In that same special, the Chapmans said the cancer was successfully removed.

In November 2018, her cancer returned and had spread to her lungs, Us Weekly reported. Chapman underwent emergency surgery and started treatment that December.

Dog and Beth Chapman were married for 12 years. Their lives and work were chronicled in the A&E reality TV series, "Dog the Bounty Hunter." Beth Chapman was the bondswoman at the family's Da Kine Bail Bonds business in Honolulu, Hawaii. The business closed earlier this year.

After "Dog the Bounty Hunter" ended after eight seasons in 2012 they had three seasons of a spin-off show, "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt," on CMT. The spin-off aired for three seasons from 2013 to 2015.

The couple last worked on an upcoming WGN America reality TV series, "Dog's Most Wanted," which is set to air in 2020.
