ORLADO, Fla. — It wasn’t the plan, but Angela and Caleb decided to allow a sibling group to stay together by adopting all of them: Alia, Alex, Robert, and Josh.

That’s in addition to their seven biological children: Sam, Christian, Camron, Rachel, Maria, Michaela, and Julia.

“We knew we wanted to adopt older children,” says Angela. “People don’t even know that there are so many kids. In Tampa, especially, there are kids stuck in the system and moving and moving. One of our children moved 11 times.”

They chose to adopt from foster care because of their personal stories living in care.

“Coming through on the other side. We were able to tell the kids guys we have been through it. It is tough life has been really hard on you, but you are going to be okay, you know, and we are going to be here for you no matter what happens,” says Angela.
