It wasn’t just people who were being rescued after Hurricane Irma in Orange County.
Four-legged fluffy residents also had to be saved from the floodwaters.
The Orange County Fire Rescue’s Public Information Office said countless pets were rescued Monday with help from the National Guard.
Authorities said Monday that more than 130 homes were left flooded by Irma’s winds and rains.
Fire Rescue and the National Guard rescued 149 residents from 550 homes that were flooded in the Orlo Vista area Monday.
Officials said more than 1,300 911 calls were made in Orange County between Sunday 12 a.m. and Monday 5 a.m.
