DAYTON, Ohio — Four people are dead and three others are in critical condition following a single-car crash Christmas Day in Dayton, according to police.
The crash was reported at the intersection of West Third Street and Brooklyn Avenue around 11 a.m.
Three people were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A fourth victim, identified only as a juvenile, died after being taken to an area hospital.

Three other victims were taken to area hospitals and are all in critical condition, police said.
The impact of the crash caused the car to split into two parts and catch fire, investigators said.
The identities of those involved has not released, pending notification of family.
Potential factors in the crash were not released by police. However, a witness reported the car was being driven erratically moments before the crash, according to a 911 call obtained by this news outlet.
Crash reconstruction crews also responded to investigate the crash.
