PITTSBURGH — Two children and a young adult died early Saturday in a house fire that engulfed a home in a Pittsburgh neighborhood, authorities said.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, firefighters responded to the three-story brick house in the Brighton Heights neighborhood just before 2 a.m. EST, WPXI-TV reported.
Officials said that a woman and eight children were safely evacuated, according to the television station.

The two children and adult were originally considered missing, but their bodies were later found inside the home, WPXI reported.
A firefighter was taken to an area hospital and treated for a cut on their arm, CNN reported. A woman was also hospitalized and was in serious but stable condition, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
It is unclear how the fire began. Officials have not released the names of the people killed or the survivors.
An investigation is ongoing.
