A South Florida man is facing charges after he allegedly filmed a naked woman at a tanning salon.
The woman was in a private room at the salon in Miami-Dade County and was about to use a stand-up tanning bed when she noticed a cellphone camera pointing at her from the floor between a wooden wall divider between rooms, WPLG TV reported.
The woman quickly dressed and confronted the man, who police later identified in an arrest report as Javier Sotomayor.
Sotomayor, 36, allegedly ignored the woman and left the salon. The woman followed and recorded him as he tried to escape her in a strip mall, according to WPLG.
Police impounded Sotomayor's cellphone as evidence when he was arrested the following day. He was charged with video voyeurism.
