Police and medics are calling a man lucky after a crash early Friday morning in Tulsa.
The accident was reported around 2 a.m.
“It was dark and I was texting,” the driver told police.
The man drove around two barricades and flipped his car into a ditch. The car landed vertically in the ditch, which is part of a road construction site. He was pinned for almost five hours. Crews rescued him around 7 a.m.
Medics took him to a local hospital for treatment. The driver suffered a minor arm injury.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
