ANAHEIM, Calif. — Disneyland is awash in an orange glow, but it isn't an imagineering trick: A wildfire is burning miles away in the Anaheim Hills, KABC reported.
The fire, which started Monday morning, has covered parts of Orange County with a cloud of smoke. The smoke and clouds are so thick that it blocked out the sun over the theme park, which is decorated for Halloween.

Both parks, Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, are expected to be in operation, but The Orange County Register reported that officials are unsure if it will impact any specific rides.
Some park guests reported that ash from Canyon Fire 2 is falling from the sky.

The fire has grown to 6,000 acres and has destroyed two-dozen buildings. More than 5,000 homes have been evacuated, The Los Angeles Times reported.
The fire has spread fast and is being called a “wind-driven event.”
Firefighters have been focusing on getting residents to safety instead of putting out the flames. They were hoping for more favorable weather to help attack the fire. By Monday night, only 5 percent of the fire was contained, the LA Times reported.
