ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A power outage on Wednesday brought some tram service to a halt at Orlando International Airport, airport officials tweeted.
The outage reported around 1 p.m. Wednesday, affects passengers from gates 30 to 59, officials said. The service was restored around 3:30 p.m., officials said.
A strong line of storms moved through Central Florida around the time of the outage, but Eyewitness News is working to confirm the exact cause of the outage.
Buses transported passengers to the gates.
The airport is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation that includes new trams. Eyewitness News has reported at least four times about trams shutting down at the airport this year.
A spokesperson for OIA said in a statement: "The second of two trams that had been in a demonstration mode has passed its testing and has been activated. The tram was scheduled to enter service on Monday but was cleared for service early."
