CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from the Kennedy Space Center after two scrubbed launches this week.
On Monday, the launch was aborted due to a software error, with 10 seconds left on the countdown clock.
SpaceX’s Elon Musk said engineers spent July 4 doing a full review of rocket pad and systems.
Sunday’s launch attempt was scrubbed as well.
The Falcon 9 rocket launched at about 7:38 p.m. Wednesday.
The rocket will transport the Intelsat 35e communications satellite, part of the company’s “Epic” system that provides communications services around the globe, according to SpaceX.
We're going to spend the 4th doing a full review of rocket & pad systems. Launch no earlier than 5th/6th. Only one chance to get it right …
