ORLANDO, Fla. — Potential victims of the UCF data breach said they can't get through to the university call center to see if their identities were stolen.
Some callers said it takes anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours to get through to the center. Some said they hung up their phone before getting through.
"I didn't have time to wait for two hours, so I'll have to call again today I'm sure," UCF student Alex Mercado said.
Mercado said he's still not sure if the hackers have his information.
The school gave out the number for the call center on Thursday when they announced the data breach that compromised personal information of thousands of current and former students and staff
Some of the potential victims spent their time at UCF in the 1980s.
