A Jacksonville boy was shot Sunday after he and his friends stumbled upon a chop shop in the woods, police said.
Police said the 13-year-old boy was walking with some of his friends in the woods behind his home on Playpen Drive in Westside Jacksonville.
The group stumbled upon up to five men in the woods who were stripping a stolen car. Police were told the men started shooting at the children when they saw them.
The 13-year-old boy was shot in the leg as the kids tried to run away.
