BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A series of power outages left thousands of people without electricity in Brevard and Volusia counties, Florida Power and Light Company said Monday.
Two outages near Melbourne Beach in Brevard county knocked out power to more than 3,700 customers.
Both outages were reported at about 5:43 a.m. and were expected to be resolved by 7:15 a.m.
The cause of the outages was under investigation.
In Volusia County, an outage near Daytona Beach International Airport left more than 3,200 customers without power.
The outage was reported at about 5:48 a.m. and power was expected to be restored by 7:15 a.m.
The cause was not immediately known.
