ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — Ormond Beach police are investigating after a child claimed to have been approached by two men in a car while biking to school.
The child, who was not identified, reported that he or she had been riding a bike on North Ridgewood Avenue toward an elementary school when two men in a car pulled up and tried to lure the child into the car.
The child continued biking toward the school and was followed by the men until the child reached school grounds, police said.
The child went to class and returned home safely, police said.
The incident was reported to police at about 4 p.m. Monday.
The men were described as white, in their 30s or 40s, with short, shaved hair or bald heads, and not wearing shirts.
Anyone with information is asked to call law enforcement.
