Orlando woman charged in husband's stabbing death

ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando woman was charged with second-degree murder after her husband was found stabbed to death late Friday night.

Police said Alyssa Hogan-McCarthren, 35, and her husband, who was not identified, had a history of domestic violence.

Officers were called to their home on Mable Butler Avenue just before midnight for a possible homicide and they later charged Hogan-McCarthren.

Investigators have only identified the victim as a 40-year-old man.

Police said the investigation is still active and ongoing.
