Missing boy, 17, who fell off jet ski in Windermere lake found dead

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Update: The 17-year-old jet skier who was reported missing Thursday in Lake Down has been found dead by deputies, officials said Friday afternoon.

The marine unit located the boy just before 3 p.m. Friday. No foul play was suspected.

The victim and a friend fell off a jet ski Thursday afternoon, according to deputies.

The boy’s name has not yet been released.

A search is underway for a person who fell off a jet ski and never resurfaced Thursday evening, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene around 8:40 p.m. The victim, a 17-year-old male, and a friend fell off a jet ski, according to deputies.
