BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Mims teen was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 late Friday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Samantha Hodge was speeding northbound on I-95 just north of Cheney Highway around 11 p.m. when she left the roadway and hit a guardrail.
A passenger, 14-year-old Jarret Alan Blair, was killed in the crash.
Hodge, who is also from Mims, was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
FHP crash investigators have already determined alcohol was not a factor in the crash, but they say charges are pending.
