Fire destroys tractor supply building in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Marion County firefighters battled a large blaze at a tractor supply store early Thursday morning.

Firefighters said they were called to Ocala Tractor on U.S. Highway 441 just before 4 a.m.

Heavy flames were seen coming from the attic, and firefighters said the conditions deteriorated rapidly.

It took firefighters an hour and 20 minutes to get the fire under control. A total of 29 units and 58 firefighters responded to the scene.

The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation by Florida state and Marion County Fire Rescue investigators.
