Man's body found near Family Dollar store in Kissimmee

A man’s body was found near a Family Dollar store on Buenaventura Boulevard in Kissimmee, according to the Osceola Sheriff’s Office.

“There’s a guy lying dead, then I thought they were joking. That’s when I came, and cops came and didn’t let anybody get closer right there by the church,” said maintenance worker Victor Hernandez said.

Investigators said a customer alerted an employee at about 8:30 a.m. Friday, who then called law enforcement.

“The body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office, and detectives will work with the medical examiner to determine the cause of death,” said Twis Lizasuain of the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Officers said foul play is not suspected.
