LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating after a man died Wednesday in a golf cart crash.
Andras Stefanik, 71, was dead next to his golf cart in a dried-up retention pond behind a Lowe's store near Bowersox Drive and Schwartz Boulevard.
Troopers said he was last seen Monday night and was found about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
It remains unclear what led to the crash and Stefanik's death, troopers said.
The investigation is ongoing and troopers said they are waiting for a medical examiner to determine his cause of death.
No other information was released.
