NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Interstate 95 is back open in New Smyrna Beach after a crash sent two people to the hospital.
Traffic slowed down before 6 p.m. Friday when a car driving through the rain hit a guardrail.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said a semi-truck then jackknifed after slamming its brakes.
Several motorcyclists who had stopped under a bridge were hit.
Two of the riders were taken to Halifax Hospital in critical condition.
The crash happened near State Road 44.
The truck driver is facing charges in the crash.
