Hurricane Irma: FEMA opens disaster recovery center in Orlando

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Central Florida is still recovering from the damage left behind by Hurricane Irma. The hurricane hit Central Florida last month and residents are still dealing with roof damage, debris and other issues.

FEMA opened a disaster recovery center Wednesday to help storm survivors.

The center, located at 2250 N. Orange Blossom Trail, will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week until further notice, officials said.

People and small business owners can go to the center to ask questions and sign up for federal assistance.
