LAKE MARY, Fla. — Crews remain on the scene Thursday afternoon of a potential sinkhole in Seminole County.
A specialized crew will evaluate the depression over the next couple of days to determine if the hole is a sinkhole.
The depression is in a highly-congested commercial area on Sand Pond Road near Lake Emma Road in Lake Mary.

Water has gathered in one spot and has taken up a big portion of the parking lot. The sidewalk is beginning to droop along with a partially crumbled Sand Pond Road.
"What we have here is a potential sinkhole,” said Wendy Niles, a spokesperson for the Lake Mary Fire Marshal.
A Central Florida box company employee made the discovery Thursday morning in the parking lot.
At last check, the possible sinkhole was about 80 feet wide.
"Right now, what we're trying to do is address the different safety factors,” Niles said.
One of the safety issues is power lines. There’s concern that if the hole caves in, live wires could go with it and into the standing water. Crews with Duke Energy were on the scene investigating.
Sand Pond Road at Lake Emma Road is blocked off, and drivers are being detoured.
