FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. — A holiday parade in Flagler County was cut short after a car caught fire on the parade route.
The “Holiday at the Beach” parade in Flagler Beach witnessed a fiery interruption around 2 p.m. near North 4th Street and A1A.

Firefighters navigated congested streets filled with hundreds of people to reach the parade car that had burst into flames.
The fully engulfed vehicle also became a fire threat to buildings on the west side of A1A.

A few firefighters who were participating in the parade jumped into action to help battle the blaze and keep residents safe.
Thanks to their efforts, there were no injuries to any parade attendees.

“While today’s parade was shortened, it was done so in the best interest of public safety, and we’re glad nobody was injured as a result of the fire,” officials said.
