An elderly woman died and four other people were injured Sunday afternoon in a crash near Apopka, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened shortly after 3:15 p.m. at West Kelly Park Road and Eastway Drive near the Brightwood Manor mobile home park, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.
Dorothy Anderson, 79, was driving on Kelly Park Road with two children, when another driver smashed into her car, FHP said.
She was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka, where she died, Montes said.
The two children in Anderson's car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle and his passenger, who were not identified, also received minor injuries in the crash.
West Kelly Park Road was closed while troopers investigated the crash, but the road was reopened shortly before 7 p.m.
An investigation into the crash was ongoing.
